INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY AZ FOUNDATION CONCERT FEATURES THE BEST OF “REAL JAZZ”
Downtown Scottsdale joins more than 196 global Jazz Day celebrations on April 7th, the date officially designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to celebrate jazz and the role it plays in uniting people around the world.

Internationally known Bernard Wright (God Son of Roberta Flack) headlines this year’s Int’l jazz Day Concert. Wright is an American funk and jazz keyboardist and singer who began his career as a session musician and later released four solo albums.

Neamen Lyles - Nationally known smooth jazz saxophonist will move your soul and delight your ears; He has played with superstar Dave Koz

Featured Performers:
Carlos Rivas - has over 30 years of professional experience in international public accounting, which includes accounting and auditing to large and small companies, as well as private and public companies that are listed in the Mexican and United States Stock Exchange. He has wide experience in the steel, petrochemicals .

  • Mario Abney - Jazz trumpeter originally from Chicago now hails from New Orleans fuses traditional and extended trumpet techniques in a most inventive way. 
  • William "Doc" Jones - Jazz saxophonist, keyboard artist, founder of NextStudent Academy and Jazz Day AZ. Doc Jones is a music educator and has performed with Aretha Franklin, The Temptations many other musicians.

INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY AZ FOUNDATION RALLY/CONCERT FEATURES THE BEST OF “REAL JAZZ”
Downtown Phoenix joins more than 196 global Jazz Day celebrations designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to celebrate jazz and the role it plays in uniting people around the world. April 18th is the 2nd Annual Jazz at Lunch Time at the Arizona State Capitol.

Internationally known Drummer Fred Boswell, Jr. will headline this year's Jazz at Lunch Time event. Boswell is a phenomenal drummer who recently won the Arizona Guitar Center's Drum Off Contest.
